FRANKLIN—Franklin sophomore Angel Padilla scored two goals to lead the Broncos’ soccer team to a 4-0 non-conference win over Southampton High School on Thursday.

Junior goalie Nathan Jones earned his second career shutout with 15 saves for the Broncos. Jones’ first shutout was on Wednesday against Brunswick.

Goalie Nathan Johnson had six saves for the Indians while filling in for injured regular starter David Strozier.

“We also only had 12 players available for the game due to four injured players and two red card suspensions,” said SHS Coach Scott Edwards. “We did a good job of controlling the ball for much of the match, but were unable to create scoring chances.”
