We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to James and A.J.

We never got your last names! You stopped and helped our son, Zachary Gurganus, on Saturday, March 17, on One Mile Road.

After dropping his fiancée off at her house in Ivor, his truck flipped after swerving to avoid a deer that jumped out right in front of him. Without you, who knows how long he would have stayed trapped upside down.

What a blessing you are to our family. Thank you, thank you!

We would also like to say thank you to all of the emergency personnel who worked the accident. Thank you to all of you, for who you are and what you do for others.

We might be transplants to the area, but because of people like you, we are proud to call Southampton County our home.
