SEDLEY—Alice Gray Ezzell Hewett, 73, died March 27, 2012.

Born in Whiteville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Odell and Mae Richardson Ezzell and retired from Hancock Peanut Co., Courtland, after 26 years of service.

She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Alfred D. “Cubie” Hewett; three sons, Jimmy Hewett (Chris) of Kitty Hawk, N.C., Gary Hewett of Sedley and Darrell Hewett (Barbara) of Courtland; sister, Pansy E. Hardwick; brother, Paul Ezzell; six grandchildren, Mandy and Josh Hewett, Scott (Brandy) and Luke Hewett, and Melisa and Amanda Hewett; and a great grandson, Cole Hewett.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Sedley Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
