FRANKLIN—Nancy Crabtree Nixon, 64, of 33377 Edgehill Drive, Franklin, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond.
Mrs. Nixon was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of the late John W. and Easter Wright Crabtree.
A homemaker, she was a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church in Gates, N.C.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Paul A. Nixon; two daughters, Melissa Jackson (Randy) and Heidi Bunch (Jason), both of Courtland, Va.; a son, Kirk Nixon (Tina) of Camden, N.C.; a sister, Peggy Hogg of Portsmouth, Va.; a brother, Randy Crabtree of Plymouth, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Taylor Nixon, Jeremy Bunch, Tanner Nixon, Haley Bunch, Temple Nixon, Celia Jackson and Trent Nixon.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Reynoldson Baptist Church Cemetery by the Revs. Billy Presley and Cody Brinkley.
Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the graveside service, or all other times at Heidi and Jason’s home, 20936 Governor Darden Road, Courtland.
Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, N.C., is handling arrangements.
