AMELIA–The Tidewater Academy girls’ basketball team was eliminated from the Virginia Independent Schools Association Division III state tournament with a 74-38 quarterfinal loss to No. 2-ranked Amelia Academy Wednesday night.
Cary Beahm led Tidewater with 18 points while teammates Taylor Pruitt and Falon Williams scored six points apiece.
The young Lady Warriors gained experience with its run into the playoffs this season, said Coach Ashley Owen. The team had no seniors.
“They did very well this season,” Owen said. “I’m excited about next season.”
