ISLE OF WIGHT—The bridge on Mill Swamp Road will be closed Thursday and Friday, March 1-2, for conducting soil borings.

Soil borings are needed to help the Virginia Department of Transportation design a new bridge, said VDOT Spokeswoman Brooke Grow.

A detour will be in place between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. both days.
