WAKEFILED – The Tidewater Academy boys basketball team will move on to the quarterfinals of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III state tournament after knocking off Hampton Christian 65-51.

The Warriors will take on Evangel Christian at 7 tonight, February 29 at Prince George High School.

Lamont Moore scored 26 points in the win while teammate B.J. Morris added 15. Hunter Haywood added 11 for the Warriors.

Tidewater also performed well at the free throw line hitting on 23-of-27 foul shots in the game.

The Warriors also were able to overcome 18 turnovers in the win.
