WAKEFIELD – The Tidewater Academy boys will host Hampton Christian in the first round of the Virginia Independent Schools’ Athletic Association state tournament.

The game is slated for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Wakefield.

Warriors Coach Walter Westbrook said Hampton Christian was a very quick and a very athletic team that can score transition points and TA would have to work to slow them down to be successful.

The Warriors lost 59-41 to Amelia Academy Saturday in the finals of the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Tournament and are ranked seventh in the state.
