RALEIGH, N.C.—Franklin native Nellie Cutchins Lee, 90, of Raleigh, N.C., departed from this life on February 14, 2012, to make her final journey to be united with her Heavenly Father.

She will be reunited with her late devoted husband of 59 years, Murrell “Bubba” Lee.

After dedicating 40 years as a devoted homemaker, she retired from a successful career with The Norfolk Southern Railway.

Words that best describe Nellie are kind, honest, giving, loving. She always put others first and was active in the community and her church.

She is survived by three beloved children who will cherish her memory, Robert M. Lee Sr. and wife, Linda W. Lee, Raleigh; J. Randy Lee, Bunn, N.C., and his daughter, Kristy Lee , Cary, N.C.; Carol L. Bornemeier and her husband, Thomas H. Bornemeier, Spotsylvania Va.; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Montlawn Cemetery.
