PITTSBORO, N.C.—Hazel Ellis Bland, 82, of Pittsboro, N.C., died Feb. 14, 2012, at her home.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Pittsboro United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Bland operated a beauty salon for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Sally Carr, and her husband, Sion, of Franklin.
