Robert A. Cramer

CHALOTTE HALL, Md.—Robert “Bob” A. Cramer died February 8, 2012, in the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall, Md.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roscoe and Huldah Cramer; his wife, Sonja; and brother, Ross C. Cramer.
He was born in Atlantic City, N.J., in 1924 and was a longtime resident of the Tidewater area of Virginia.
He graduated from Hampton High School, Virginia Polytechnic and the MCV School of Hospital Administration.
Mr. Cramer served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was decorated with the Purple Heart.
He was an officer of numerous organizations including American Hospital Association, Virginia Hospital Association and Rotary Club, and active in the Chamber of Commerce.
He was a long time member of Sycamore Baptist Church, Franklin, Va.
Mr. Cramer’s surviving family members are his sister, Lois Cummings of Kent Island, Md.; and two sons Roger and wife, Julia, of Annapolis, Md., and Ross F. and Mary Jane of Virginia Beach, Va. In addition, he leaves three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Joshua along with eight nieces and nephews.
He was also survived by a close step-daughter, Sunni Holley.
