CORAPEAKE, N.C.—Thomas Byrum Barnes, 86, of Corapeake, N.C., died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Parker’s United Methodist Church followed by burial with military honors in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barnes was a retired farmer.

Among his survivors are brothers, Vincent and Clifton Barnes, both of Franklin.

Miller Funeral Home of Gatesville, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
