Funeral services were held for Amanda Sessoms Taylor, 99, at Grant’s Westside Funeral Services, 1151 Louisiana Ave., Port Allen, La., on Wednesday, January 18, at 6 p.m.

Burial at Port Hudson National Cemetery followed on Thursday.

Mrs. Taylor was born December 30, 1912, in Franklin, Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Parham Taylor; son, Marvin Taylor; and parents, William and Emma Sessoms.

She is survived by her nephew, James R. Hall Sr. and wife, Lillie; one son, Raymond Taylor of Indianapolis; numerous grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Simayon Hayes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
