WALSTONBURG, N.C.—Susan Ann Pappin, 52, formerly of Chester, Va., died Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at her home.

The family received friends Friday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Farmville Funeral Home in Farmville, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of J.T. Morris Funeral Home in Chester, Va., by Rev. Jim Hyatt. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, Va.

Mrs. Pappin taught for 25 years for Southampton County Public Schools and was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982.

She is survived by a sister, Joyce Pappin of the home; two nephews, Danny and Randy Croom; and three great nephews.
