Wilford Frank Falls Jr.

FRANKLIN—Wilford Frank Falls Jr., D.D.S., 69, died on January 11, 2012, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

A son of the late Wilford Frank Falls Sr. and Gladys Falls McCloud, Frank was a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

He was a graduate of St. John’s Junior College in Palatka, the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.

Frank was a lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps and was assigned to the 32nd Marine Air Group of the 2nd Marine Air Wing in Beaufort, S.C, during the Vietnam era (1968-1970) and practiced general dentistry in Franklin, Va., from 1970-1999.

He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and an Eagle Scout.

A devoted family man, Daddy Frank (as his grandchildren lovingly called him) is survived by his wife, Patsy; a son, Douglas Frank and wife Stephanie of Rome, Ga., and their children, Ansley Reid and Ethan Frank; and a daughter, Tricia Falls Davis and husband Ben of Franklin, and their children, Katherine Patricia and Benjamin Holmes. He is also survived by a brother, Jerry; and his wife, Elizabeth, of Palatka, Fla.

The funeral will be held Saturday, January 14, at 11 a.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church with burial at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
