ZUNI—Bernard Lee Hawkins, 86, of Zuni died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.

The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ivor.

Engram Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bernard was employed for over 30 years at the Newport News Shipyard, where he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and 10 children, Dorothy Seaborne, James Faltz, Evangeline Eley , Loretta Diggs, Rita Haynes, Katina Williams, Shakeyta Ricks, Coretta King, Gregory Diggs and Jalisa Parker.
