WINDSOR—An unidentified 76-year-old woman died in a car crash at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Windsor.
The woman is believed to have suffered a medical problem before losing control of her car and veering into oncoming traffic on Route 460 in front of the Windsor Fire Department, Windsor police said.
Windsor Police Chief Vic Reynolds said the vehicle the woman was driving hit a pickup and spun into a tractor trailer head-on. A fourth vehicle was also involved in the accident.
One other person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was seriously injured.
Reynolds says it is unclear if the fatality was a result of the accident or the medical emergency. A medical examiner will release the cause of death.
