FRANKLIN—Dorothy Lee Faulcon, 65, a loving daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert Thomas Sr., was born on Feb. 1, 1946, in Southampton County, Va.

She departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Sentara Nursing Center in Norfolk, Va.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her husband, John L. Faulcon Jr.; three beautiful daughters, the Honorable Deborah A. Deloatch of Rich Square, N.C., Marguerite O. Whitehead-Simmons of Newport News, Va., and Wanda Dionne Whitehead Davis (Gary) of Hampton, Va.; three sisters, Shirley Perry (Ray) of Courtland, Va., Geraldine Thomas of Baltimore, Md., and Vernice Harns of Newport News, Va.; a brother, Wayne Thomas of Franklin, Va.; four grandchildren, Tiffany Deloatch and Daryl Deloatch of Rich Square, N.C., Brittany Simmons of Newport News, Va., and Justin Davis of Hampton, Va.; three sisters-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Her homegoing service will be Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Shade Missionary Baptist Church.
