Are schools doing enough to discourage bullying?

To the Editor:

Bullies. Every school has them, but what if Southampton and Windsor does nothing about them.

For example, the guidance office at Windsor tells seniors that they are not smart enough to go to college, or Southampton teachers stand by why a young 13-year-old girl gets called a whore and does not take the proper actions.

These two are just a few things that show bullying in these two areas is promoted instead of demoted.

A Windsor bus driver has shown a rather discriminating side of things, using terms like “those people,” or telling students not to date certain people. Schools are supposed to be safe, but they are indeed not.
