Branchville, VA—Roger Allen Hinson, 74, passed away December 18, 2011. Mr. Hinson was a native of South Carolina and was a son of the late Carlton Oday and Ethel Lee Dunn Hinson. He was a member and deacon of Crossroads Community Church, and a supervisor at Narricot Industries. Roger had been a former member of the Branchville Town Council and Branchville Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Gail Vick Hinson, two daughters, Sherrie H. Senter and husband Zeke, Melinda H. Woodward and husband Bobby, two sons, David A. Hinson and Dwayne E. Hinson and wife Patricia, and Gail’s children, Wendy B. Pulley and husband Roy, Andrea B. Hill and husband Jeff, foster daughter, Denise H. Baggett and husband Leonard, two sisters, Sylvia H. Beckham (James) and Linda H. Day (Tom), two brothers, Rusty Hinson (Judy) and Larry Hinson (Vicky), Sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 21 at Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, followed by a memorial service at 2 P.M. at the Rock Church in Franklin. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin from 7-830 P.M.
