NORFOLK—Four Franklin wrestlers won matches during the team’s loss to Norfolk Collegiate on Wednesday night.

Winners Emmanuel Ricks at 195 pounds and Xazior Freeman at 126 pounds pinned their opponents. Broncos Scott Davis at 132 and heavyweight Anthony Davis won by forfeit.

“The kids are working hard,” said Daniel Johnson, the Broncos’ head wrestling coach since 2000. “We just need more practice time.”

Franklin on Saturday, Dec. 17, will travel to Lancaster High School for a tournament against seven to eight schools.
