WINDSOR—Windsor’s boys’ basketball team has gotten off to a rough start, losing its first four games.

The Dukes on Wednesday lost 43-33 to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.

“They gave up too many second chance opportunities and that proved to be the difference,” said first-year Windsor Head Coach Brandon Bossick.

Justice Chapman led with eight points in the loss; Abram Torrence added 7.

In action from Tuesday, Windsor lost to Northampton 63-59.

“The Dukes played well, but untimely fouls and missed lay-ups proved to be too much to overcome,” Bossick said.

R.J. Edwards scored 17 points and teammate Austin McCaskey added 12 while pulling down eight rebounds.

In other action, Windsor lost 66-58 to Rappahannock on Dec. 2.

“The Dukes played well as a team, but just could not close it out,” Bossick said. “They took a one-point lead with four minutes left in the game, but foul shots and two, three-pointers swung the game in their favor.”

Edwards led all players with 15 points and seven assists. Teammate Nick Powell followed with 14 points and eight rebounds, and Cole Daniel had 12 points,10 rebounds and four blocks.

Windsor on Dec. 1 lost its season opener 58-31 to Greenbriar Christian 58.

Chapman led with 11 points.
