NEWSOMS–Adelle Vick Drake, 85, passed away on December 10, 2011 at the East Pavilion.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Willie Thomas, “Sonny Boy” Drake; her parents, Rufus and Dellie Flythe Vick; sisters, Bessie Barrett, Nellie Drake and Eunice Gray and her brother, Clyde Vick.

She was a lifelong member of Barnes United Methodist Church where she had been a member of the choir and the United Methodist Women.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Willie T. “W.T.” Drake Jr. and wife, Paula and Randy C. Drake; grandchildren, Kevin Drake and wife, Suzanne, Eric Drake and wife, Cheryl, and Kimberly Belcher and husband, J.T.; great-grandchildren, Cadence Belcher, Brooklynn Drake, Kyle Thomas Drake, and Garrett Thomas Drake.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Barnes United Methodist Church with Rev. Darwin Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
