COLONIAL BEACH—Franklin freshman Adam Grant scored three 3-pointers from the same spot on consecutive possessions during the Broncos’ come-from-behind, 63-54 win over Colonial Beach on Friday.

After being down 19-4, Franklin outscored Colonial 22-2 for a 26-21 halftime lead.

“We took a little while to get settled down, but once we did, the boys responded well and worked great as a team,” said Franklin Coach Danny Dillon.

Grant scored a game-high 21 points while freshman teammate Marcus Stephens hit seven-for-eight from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and scored a total 18 points.

“Awesome win against a solid team,” Dillon said. “I’m really impressed by freshmen Marcus Stephens and Adam Grant. We’ve never kept two freshmen on varsity,

and I’m certainly taken aback on how well they played and the numbers they put

up.”

Another notable player for Franklin was Tyshawn Lowe with 9 points and 14 rebounds.

Keane Foster of Colonial Beach led the Drifters with 17.

Franklin on Tuesday traveled to Southampton High School. Results were not available as of press time.
