FRANKLIN—Franklin junior Janesha Hurdle scored 11 points during Franklin’s 53-15 loss to Greensville during Wednesday’s season opener.

“They were just all over the place,” said Franklin Coach Mona Sumblin. “We’re still rebuilding. I’ve lost so many people.”

Greensville, a AA school, has a middle school program, while Franklin, a A school, does not, other than an intramural program.

Franklin will host Northampton on Friday, Dec. 2. Junior varsity play begins at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity game following.
