FRANKLLIN—Sandra Leigh Sandlin Wilkins, 71, passed away November 30, 2011.

She was born in Franklin, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Dorothy Mitchell Sandlin.

Sandra retired from Bronco Federal Credit Union after 25-plus years of service and was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

She will be most remembered for her steadfast love and devotion to her family and friends and unyielding loyalty to those she loved.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Elizabeth Sawyer and her husband, Mark, of Ivor; her son, Raleigh Wilkins of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Robert E. Sandlin Jr. and his wife, Judith, of Beaufort, S.C., and J. Mitchell Sandlin and his partner, Dave Gaking, of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Hannah Mitchell Sawyer; faithful friends, Lucye Thompson of Richmond, Joan Pavlina of Franklin and Dorothy Evans of Courtland; and her special friends at Bronco Federal Credit Union and Southampton Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011, in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump and Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Sycamore Baptist Church or Franklin Fire and Rescue . www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
