To the Editor:

Southampton County Superintendent of Schools Charles Turner is retiring.

Perhaps some of the School Board members should follow his lead and make room for people with fresh ideas who have children in the school system.

Is being a member of the Southampton County School Board a lifetime appointment? I don’t think it should be.
