FRANKLIN—A Suffolk home health care company will create 20 jobs when it opens an office in Franklin.
Gentle Touch Home Care will hire office workers, nursing assistants, certified nursing and personal care aides, and nurses.
Those interested in jobs at the new office can pick up an application at a grand opening on Monday, Dec. 5.
The facility, which will have an office at 701 South St., will provide in-home, around-the-clock care to the elderly and disabled.
“I thought it’d be a great business opportunity and a way to provide quality care in Franklin,” said owner Beverly Britt. “It’s coming along great. We have a couple of nurses that work in Franklin and we’re excited about the new branch. I believe in helping out and reaching out in the community and bringing jobs to Franklin.”
The company, which provides scholarships to students at each of Suffolk’s high schools, would also provide Franklin students with two $500 scholarships.
