COURTLAND—Joyce Parham Davis, 77, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011.

 

She was a native of Kittrell, N.C., and one of eight children of the late John Howard and Nettie Thompson Parham.

 

She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ginnie Davis Carr and husband, Merrell, of Ivor; sons, Raymond C. Davis Jr. and wife, Debbie, and Jefferson L. Davis and wife, Lou Anne, all of Courtland; a sister, Darrine Bennett; grandchildren, Patricia Davis, Sarah Gray and husband, Alex, Elizabeth Railey and husband, Edward, Jefferson L. “Sonny” Davis Jr., Tamee Railey and husband, Benjamin; and great-granddaughter, Danee Railey.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Rita Kanten officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

 

The family will receive one hour friends prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to the Courtland Rescue Squad or a charity of choice. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
