FRANKLIN—The Franklin VFW Post No. 4411 sponsored a Veterans Day program Saturday at Barrett’s Landing Park in Franklin.

Presiding and giving the keynote address was retired Navy Capt. Ed Morgan. Morgan thanked veterans for their service and did a roll call of each war that the United States has been involved with, giving the number of service personnel who served, and those injured and killed.

Morgan and Matt Bernocco, commander of VFW Post No. 4411, presented awards to winners in an essay contest sponsored by the post. Each winner read his essay.
