BRANCHVILLE-Ella Jean Overby, 78, passed away November 12, 2011 at Sentara Obici Hospital.
Mrs. Overby was a native of Northampton County, NC and was the youngest of seven children of the late Charlie and Lema Davis Kee. She was also predeceased by her former husband, Herman “Kyser” Overby and by a special friend, Howard Edwards. Mrs. Overby was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church and was retired from Narrow Fabrics.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Herman Wilson Overby, Jr. and Milton Ray Overby, a daughter-in-law, Jane R. Martin, two grandsons, Russell Overby (Jaclyn Campbell) and Christopher Overby, two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Regan Overby and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Boykins United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. The burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
