Students get $500 scholarships

FRANKLIN—Four high school students had their names drawn for $500 scholarships during the fifth annual College Night in Virginia at Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin.

The winners were Southampton High School students Kenya Lyons, 17, of Capron, Savannah Grace Francis, 17, of Handsom and Breana Whitfield, 15, of Newsoms; and Armirah Stephens, 16, from Franklin High School. The scholarships may be used at any college or university in the state.

Students gathered information about planning and paying for college during event sponsored by Education Credit Management Corporation.
