Those attending the Pumpkin Fest came from Franklin, Southampton County, Yale, Walters, Zuni, Waverly, Severn and Margarettsville, N.C., Emporia, Suffolk, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Powhatan and Rawlings.

Eric Coard, chairman of the Pumpkin Fest Committee and owner of Whittington Station in Boykins, printed the street banners, T-shirts and flyers for the event.
