BOYKINS—A Boykins man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl between April and July, Southampton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Jerry Lamont Wilkerson, 22, from the 18000 block of Old Branchville Road, where the alleged offenses occurred, knew the victim, said Sgt. Wanda Covington.

Wilkerson was charged with eight felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and eight felony counts for forcible sodomy. He was taken to Southampton County Jail without bond.
