CARRSVILLE—William Edward Darden, 83, of Carrsville passed away on Oct. 9, 2011. A native of Isle of Wight County, he served in the Army during World War II before beginning his 43-year career as a shipping clerk with Union Camp.

Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Parr Funeral Home in Suffolk. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Southampton Memorial Park.
