WAKEFIELD-John Thomas “Tommy” Presson, III, 71, of Wakefield died on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother. Tommy was a kind and gentle man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Presson and Bessie Zills Presson and a nephew, W. Steele Beale, Jr.
Tommy is survived by his daughters, Debby Serena and Pixie P. Russell and her husband, Doug; sister, Sibyl P. Beale; grandsons, Will and Jack Russell and step-grandchildren, Steffan and Haleigh Brentlinger.
The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Monday, October 10, 2011 from 6 to 7:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Wakefield Cemetery.
