To the Editor:

Change seems to be on everyone’s mind these days.

Change is hard, but we never grow without it. With election time near, we have an opportunity for change in the Newsoms District.

After listening to the Board of Supervisors candidate debate recently, maybe it’s time for some change in our district.

We have known Glenn Updike for a number of years and have worked with him on several projects. Glenn’s background as a farmer and extension agent have prepared him to deal with the financial and fiscal responsibilities faced by Southampton County.

Glenn’s quiet, thoughtful manner, maturity and business sense will serve us well if he is elected.

We are proud to endorse him as a candidate for the Newsoms District representative on the Board of Supervisors for Southampton County.
