FRANKLIN—Bronco Federal Credit Union has moved its real estate office at Stewart and North College drives to its downtown banking branch at Second Avenue.

The downtown office will continue to have a drive-through and walk-up window for customers, but will no longer offer banking services inside.

“They just can’t come in and open an account or apply for a loan there anymore,” said Pam Vaughan, marketing and human resource manager for Bronco. “Our real estate service has expanded to a point (that we needed more space). We have a huge business and people still don’t know.”

Business in the real estate office, which operated in a building owned by the credit union, has grown with refinancing and mortgages.

“They were very cramped and we are just really booming on that end of the business,” Vaughan said.

The changes did not eliminate or create any jobs.

Remodeling of the downtown office continues for the real estate office, where seven employees were transferred.

Five bank employees were transferred from the downtown office to the branch at 135 Stewart Drive and two were sent to a branch in Suffolk.

“That’s closer to their homes,” Vaughan said.

The bank has no immediate plans to fill its space at Stewart and North College drives.
