COURTLAND—Southampton High School will host a pre-game party prior to playing Greensville for Homecoming 2011 on Friday, Oct. 7.

Prior to kickoff at 7:30 p.m., the party will begin at 4 o’clock with the debut of the “New Tones,” Southampton’s new show choir under the direction of Stephen West.

The $10 fee will include party events, games and a chicken and barbecue dinner provided by Nixon’s Catering.

Proceeds will benefit the high school’s Athletics Facilities Improvement Fund.

School clubs will host Cornhole, football toss, tricycle races and pumpkin painting. Inflatable bouncers will be available for children, and costumed characters such as Dora the Explorer and Elmo will join the party. DJ Wayne Cooke will provide entertainment.

At 5 p.m., homecoming attendants will participate in the Sashing and Rose ceremony. The Southampton Marching Indians band will perform at 6.
