Group says it had nothing to do with forum

To the Editor:
The forum scheduled for Sept. 23 at the Isle of Wight skating rink to question candidates was done without proper notification or input of the surrounding communities.
It was stated that this forum was set up by the “Southern End of Isle of Wight County.”
The Neighborhood Watch/Camptown Coalition had no knowledge of this decision. Therefore, we do not sanction this sort of politics.
We, the Neighborhood Watch/ Camptown Coalition, strive to unify our communities, not divide them. This organization was established and has been a dependable asset in the communities for more than 10 years.
