To the Editor:

I would like to recognize and thank all of the participants, donors and volunteers for making the Paul D. Camp Community College Foundation’s eighth annual Golf Tournament a success.

Each year, this event brings much-needed scholarship funds to aid our students and educational funds to strengthen our faculty and staff. Special appreciation goes out to Golf Committee Chairman Sandy Mann; his wife, Kay; son, Matthew; and PDCCC volunteer Susan Francis for their tireless efforts and dedication to ensuring a smooth, fun-filled event for everyone.

And certainly, our boundless gratitude is extended to Cypress Cove Country Club and its staff for hosting this event.

The tournament was postponed from its initial date due to inclement weather — Hurricane Irene. Even so, two weeks after that hurricane, everything was in order so that our tournament could take place. The country club staff went above and beyond to assist in every aspect and make the tournament fun and relaxing.

The money raised will go to support the PDCCC mission to “enhance the quality of life for students and the community.”

We are truly blessed by the generosity of so many. Thank you.
