SUFFOLK-Mattie Whitehead Lawrence, 90, of Suffolk died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, Sept. 27, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 6100 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk, preceded by visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lawrence was a Southampton County native.

Crocker Funeral Home of Suffolk is in charge of arrangements.
