Lady Warriors move to 7-1 with win Tuesday

BLACKSTONE—Tidewater Academy swept Kenston Forest in a volleyball match Tuesday to improve to 7-1 overall and 6-1 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.
The Lady Warriors won 3-0 with scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-17.
“The girls played well,” said TA Coach Amanda Binford. “They played as a team.”
Junior Cary Beahm led with 7 kills, 4 tips and 1 block. Junior Tyler Stephenson had 4 assists, while junior Fallon Williams added 2 aces, 1 block and 1 dig. Sophomore Kristen Buhls added1 dig and Samantha Dunn had 4 assists and 2 aces. Freshman Taylor Pruitt added 1 ace.
TA will participate in the Greenbrier Tournament in Chesapeake on Saturday, Sept. 24, before coming home to take on Southampton Academy at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27.
