The weather will be considerably cooler this weekend as one of the hottest acts in country music takes the stage at the Isle of Wight County Fair.
Jake Owen, whose single “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” currently tops the country charts, will perform on the main stage Saturday night, the highlight of what is shaping up as four great days of fun at the Joel C. Bradshaw Fairgrounds.
Festivities kick off tonight with the fourth annual Seafood Fest.
Thursday, Sept. 15, is Carload Night from 5 to 10. What a deal. Load up friends and family in one vehicle — a maximum of 12 — and pay $30 for everyone to enter the fair and go on midway rides. Vans and buses are welcome.
On Friday, Sept. 16, senior citizens will get in for $1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
General admission is $5 per person Friday through Sunday for 4 and up,
and for children 3 and under there is no admission fee. The admission fee includes Main Stage concerts featuring Sunny Sweeney, Jake Owen and James Wesley.
So get to the fair and have a good time.
