VIRGINIA BEACH – Maurice Ian Ange, 85, of Virginia Beach died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital after a brief illness.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1126 Laurel Ave., Chesapeake, followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St., Norfolk.

Mr. Ange was a retired Norfolk police lieutenant commander with 39 years of service.

Among his survivors is a sister, Norma Rowe of Franklin.

Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
