CAPRON—Brian Zachary-Scott Rushing, 17, passed away at home in his sleep on September 10, 2011.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Brian was a senior at Southampton High School and a member of the varsity football team.

He was a member of True Word Christian Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Donna P. Rushing and her partner, Matt Bernocco; four sisters, Emily and Shannon Rushing and Michaela and Caitlin Bernocco; three brothers, Christian Rushing, Drew Hanke and Matt Hanke; maternal grandparents, Glenda and Richard Jackson; and paternal grandparents, Valerie and Roy Coggins. Brian was predeceased by his father, Derek Donald Scott Rushing; a cousin, Elizabeth Marie Hudson; and great-grandparents, Clemie and Leaford O’Banion and Velma Breseman.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011, in the auditorium of Southampton High School with Pastor Charles Worth officiating. Interment will follow in Capron Cemetery.

Due to the Southampton-Windsor Football game on Friday evening, the family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 6 -9 p.m. and after the interment on Saturday the 17th at the VFW Post 4411 at the Franklin airport.
