CHESAPEAKE—Kathryn Speight, 73, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton.

Mrs. Speight was a retired employee of Chesapeake Public Schools.

Among her survivors is a son, John Speight of Carrsville.
