To the Editor:

I would like to extend my appreciation for the dedication that City of Franklin Power and Light displayed during and after Hurricane Irene.

These individuals worked long hours and showed extreme professionalism while restoring power to the residents and businesses in Franklin. I saw them out during the storm ensuring power was maintained to the hospital and school.

It was apparent that they had a plan to help combat the loss of power throughout the city.

Once again I give a big “thank-you” and a job well done to these city employees who probably don’t get enough credit throughout the year.
