CHESAPEAKE-Ferne Rech Owens, 83, formerly of Windsor, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Allzwell Assisted Living in Chesapeake after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, in Windsor Town Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel.

Mrs. Owens was a retired employee of United Airlines.

Among her survivors is a daughter, Jennie Tillmann of Windsor.
