WILMINGTON, N.C.—Shannon passed peacefully on Sunday morning, August 28.

She was born on March 4, 1970, in Franklin, Va., and was a graduate of Franklin High School and University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Cherishing memories are her husband George W. Beckerich III, her best friend and devoted caregiver; her father Randy and wife Loretta of Roanoke, Va.; her mother Darlene Dampier Pope and husband John of Courtland, Va.; her brother Neal, wife Tracie; and nieces Cayden and Ava and nephew Liam of Virginia Beach, Va.

A remembrance of her life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3, at 2 p.m. at College Acres Baptist Church, 702 Eastwood Road in Wilmington. She will be honored by Pastors Don Brown and Andy Ickes.
